The Wyncote Audubon Society has annually sponsored GBBC events in with our community partners. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our Audubon Adventure students and their families and other interested folks to participate in this international program. The GBBC is conducted each year over Presidents’ Weekend. All are invited to stop by for a visit and help our Wyncote Audubon volunteers keep count of throughout the weekend the birds that we identify at each GBBC site. This year Wyncote Audubon is participating in five GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT EVENTS with support of our partners that include the Abington Environmental Advisory Council, Audubon Pennsylvania, Audubon Bird Towns, Briar Bush Nature Center, Cheltenham Department of Parks and Recreation, Fort Washington State Park, the Militia Hill Hawk Watch, the Tookany/Tacony Watershed Partnership, and Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation. Stop by for a visit at any of these scheduled events and join the fun! If you can’t join us for one of these events then be sure to count the birds you see in your back yard and report them as par of the GBBC. For more information go to: gbbc.birdcount.org/
