Fall is a perfect time to plant, with its cooler temperatures and increased rainfall. Your plants have more time to establish strong root systems before they face the stresses of next summer. The nursery is filled with loads of plants that we have propagated over the summer.
Start the morning with a Bird Walk Through Edgehill Woods
Join a bird walk through Edgehill Woods led by Leigh Altadonna, president of the Wyncote Audubon Society, from 10:00-11:00. Bring binoculars if you own them. Walk up the driveway and meet on the lawn of Edgehill Castle.
Wyncote Audubon “Plants for Birds” Display
Stop by the Wyncote Audubon Society Display for literature on native plants for birds and learn if your property qualifies for enrollment in the Audubon Bird Habitat Recognition Program. See Sherry Krider and other Wyncote Audubon Volunteers at the Wyncote Audubon Display for information.
