He began his birding career in Quebec in October 1978 where he saw migrating Snow Geese, from the Arctic Circle, along the St. Lawrence River.

Since then he has birded worldwide, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine; Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Ohio, Texas, Arizona, Idaho, California, Michigan, South Dakota, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico. He has also been to France, Monaco, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Bulgaria, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Galapagos, Peru, and Mexico.

He always takes his binoculars when traveling and hopes to see something new.  He enjoys meeting fellow birders on the trails, exploring new habitats, and learning about bird behavior.
