Bird Town Walk: Rock Creek Greenway

Bird Town Walk: Rock Creek Greenway

All are Invited: Join us for this late summer walk. We hope to see many of our summer residents and juveniles before they begin their migration to their wintering grounds.  We also expect to see some of our fall migrants stopping over on their southward journey. Of course, we will see our year-round resident birds.

Bring binoculars if you have them. Wyncote Audubon will have binoculars to loan if anyone needs to borrow them. We will help anyone who needs to learn how to correctly focus his or her binoculars. Contact Leigh Altadonna, President Wyncote Audubon, wyncoteaudubonsociety@gmail.com or Judith Gratz, Environmental Educator: judithgratz@gmail.com  or (215) 896-7804.

Directions: We will meet at the corner of Rock Lane and Widener Road near the park sign. Enter Rock Lane at the intersection with Church Road and travel down Rock Lane to Widener – parking is on the street. Bus: 55. Cross Rt. 611. Walk from the corner of Church Rd. & Rt. 611 (Old York Rd) past Wall House and playground and playing fields to the next traffic light. Cross diagonally to Rock Lane, walk down the hill to the Park.
